Alice Child Care Scholarship Program.
United Way of North Idaho's ALICE Child Care Scholarship is a pool of funds created through grants and fundraising to support families who are attending school and/or employed and need assistance paying for the care of pre-K and school-age children.
The Idaho Child Care Program (ICCP) serves families with children under the age of 13 or over 13 if a child has a disability, providing child care assistance to working families by paying for a portion of child care. ICCP helps Idaho families with child care so parents can work, complete job training, or finish school.
CORE provides support to food and beverage service employees, with children who are experiencing financial hardship due to an illness or medical emergency. Apply through website
The Children's Center is open during the fall and spring semesters and strives to accommodate students and staff and operates on a schedule similar to that of NIC classes. We follow the student calendar and are closed during student holidays and campus closures.

Family Promise of North Idaho serves homeless families with children and is a local response to a national crisis, helping homeless families build new lives.
Project HomeShare, Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing, is a program that can assist financially in order to keep individuals and families in their homes, who would otherwise become homeless and help those who are already in homeless shelters or living on the street to get into permanent housing.
Under contract with HUD, Idaho Housing administers the Housing Choice Voucher. The voucher helps low-income families and elderly or disabled individuals obtain decent, affordable rental housing

NAMI Family-to-Family is a free, 8-session educational program for family, significant others and friends of people with mental health conditions. It is a designated evidenced-based program.
