DETOX - Coeur d'Alene, ID

The only unit of its kind in North Idaho, Kootenai Health’s Adult Recovery Unit, offers 24-hour, medically monitored detox, with physician oversight. Patients receive case management and therapeutic support during their stay.  Patients will typically be on the unit between three and five days. After that time, they will be referred to the next level of care.

This service is covered by Medicare and Medicaid as well as most major insurance carriers.

INPATIENT TREATMENT - Gooding, ID

The Walker Center offers both mental health and substance use inpatient/residential treatment is an intensive approach, focused on treating serious addictions to drugs and alcohol in a 24 hour per day setting without the distractions of daily life. Outpatient treatment is a less intense program, allowing the person to stay in their community and continue living their day-to-day lives with individual and group sessions from 3-12 hours per week.

Moonlight Mountain Recovery is a dual diagnosis drug and alcohol rehab center chemical dependency. This rehabilitation program specializes in dealing with addiction to opiates and is designed to give individualized care in an intimate setting. Street Medicine & Community Outreach Program provides our neighbors in need with the necessary medical, dental and mental health services available at Heritage Health. Services are client oriented, culturally sensitive, and provided with respect to each individual and family 

BHG offers Medication-Assisted Treatment which utilizes a combination of medication such as methadone, buprenorphine or buprenorphine/naloxone (Suboxone, Zubsolv, Bunavail) along with counseling services

Project HomeShare, Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing, is a program that can assist financially in order to keep individuals and families in their homes, who would otherwise become homeless and help those who are already in homeless shelters or living on the street  to get into permanent housing. 

Under contract with HUD, Idaho Housing administers the Housing Choice Voucher. The voucher helps low-income families and elderly or disabled individuals obtain decent, affordable rental housing 

The Center for New Directions at North Idaho College is designed to assist single parents and displaced homemakers with community resources and exploration of career and educational 

Food banks in North Idaho / Region 1 including Kootenai, Shoshone, Benewah, Bonner, and Boundary Counties 

The Idaho Foodbank's partner pantries and food assistance sites across the state 

Community Action Partnership has food banks in Boundary County, Kootenai County, Shoshone County, Benewah County and Nez Perce County. Also offering assistance with utilities and housing

2nd Street Commons offering people of all types to build relationships, get a free snack, and share information on resources available in our community 

Gathered for Good offers basic food supplies for community members in need. This program provides:- Food to meet basic nutritional needs- Emergency food 

The 2-1-1 Idaho CareLine is a free, statewide community information and referral service, and is a program of the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare
