DETOX - Coeur d'Alene, ID

The only unit of its kind in North Idaho, Kootenai Health’s Adult Recovery Unit, offers 24-hour, medically monitored detox, with physician oversight. Patients receive case management and therapeutic support during their stay.  Patients will typically be on the unit between three and five days. After that time, they will be referred to the next level of care.

This service is covered by Medicare and Medicaid as well as most major insurance carriers.

The Walker Center offers both mental health and substance use inpatient/residential treatment is an intensive approach, focused on treating serious addictions to drugs and alcohol in a 24 hour per day setting without the distractions of daily life. Outpatient treatment is a less intense program, allowing the person to stay in their community and continue living their day-to-day lives with individual and group sessions from 3-12 hours per week.
