Substance Use and Mental Health Support Services

208 Recovery

208 Recovery is a community of people in North Idaho who have lived experience with substance use and/or co-occurring disorders. We are invested and committed in the well-being of our communities. 208 Recovery, genuinely care about helping others overcome the challenges and barriers associated with substance use and co-occurring disorders. We offer STATE CERTIFIED peer recovery supports and provide person-centered care. We focus on empowering individuals to work towards their own recovery goals by leveraging their strengths and motivations. Because.....


Recovery is for everyone!! 


Recovery has a positive impact on families, communities, and most importantly, the individual take initiative to making positive changes in their life. 


Peer-based recovery supports can enhance existing treatments and provide support for those who may not be receiving it otherwise.


OUR MISSION  

 208 Recovery aims to foster a supportive community in North Idaho, promoting long-term recovery from substance use and co-occurring disorders.  


OUR VISION

Is to create a local culture of wellness and positivity around recovery in North Idaho that supports those facing substance use and co-occurring disorders by providing resources, wellness/recovery plans through collaborative care while offering HOPE. 

We want to empower individuals and their families in recovery and transforming perceptions. We champion our local community where substance use and co-occurring disorders are met with understanding, compassion, and connection. Drawing from the wisdom of lived experiences, we bridge individuals to vital resources, foster education, and relentlessly work to dissolve stigma, ensuring that every journey towards healing is faced with hope, acceptance, and a supportive community. 


OUR VALUES 

Include the belief that recovery is a personal choice, that there are many paths to recovery, and that everyone's recovery story is valuable and can help others. We also believe that recovery is a gift and that ongoing community support is essential for successful outcomes. 

Finally, we support the overall wellness of the entire person, both mentally and physically.

 Substance use disorders are characterized by an array of mental/emotional, physical, and behavioral problems such as chronic guilt; an inability to reduce or stop consuming the substance(s) despite repeated attempts; driving while intoxicated; and physiological withdrawal symptoms
